What selenite is used for
Selenite is the stone people buy to look after their other stones. A selenite charging plate is traditionally used to rest bracelets and malas on overnight to clear them, which is why it is the single most repeat-purchased item in our range. Worn as a bracelet it is associated with a clear head and a settled mood. It is a supportive practice, not a guarantee of any outcome.
How to tell your selenite is real
Genuine selenite is soft, very light for its size, and shows fine parallel fibres that catch light along the length of the piece. It is water-soluble, so it should never be soaked, and it can be scratched with a fingernail. Anything hard, heavy or glassy is not selenite. See our authenticity checks.
Care

How do I use a selenite charging plate?
Rest your bracelet or mala on the plate overnight. The plate itself does not need cleansing.
Can selenite get wet?
No. It dissolves in water. This is the most common way people ruin a piece.
