Natural clear quartz, known in India as sphatik, in 8mm beads and malas, sent with its certificate. Sphatik carries one of the highest doubt rates of any bead sold in India, because clear glass is the easiest thing in the world to pass off as clear stone.
What sphatik is traditionally worn for
Clear quartz is the amplifier. It is traditionally worn to strengthen the intention of whatever it is strung alongside, which is why it appears in our Dhan Yog bracelet and in the Rudra Kavach rakhi. Sphatik malas are used for japa across Indian traditions. It is a supportive practice, not a guarantee of any outcome.
Telling sphatik from glass
This is the hardest stone in the category to verify by eye, and the most commonly faked. Natural quartz almost always carries something inside it: a veil, a fracture, a wisp. Glass is perfectly clear or contains small round bubbles, which quartz does not form. Quartz is harder than glass, stays cool for longer in the hand, and is heavier for its size. Our seven authenticity checks cover each test, and the certificate that ships with every ready-made piece identifies the material.

Common questions
Is milky quartz the same as clear quartz?
They are the same mineral. Milky quartz simply contains more internal inclusions, which makes it cloudier, and it is not inferior.
What pairs well with sphatik?
Almost anything, which is the point of it. See the combinations guide, or build your own bracelet.
